It’s important to practice fire safety year round, however each year there is a week dedicated to fire prevention. This year Fire Prevention Week is October 6-12, 2013. Many area agencies and schools are doing what they can to spread the word and educate children and adults about fire safety.
Our friends at VFIS have several resources available to help spread the word! From a Coloring Book for the children to informational sheet on Fire Safety in Residence Dorms or Halls and Fire Safety in Student Apartments for the college kids, there’s many ways to help spread the word. Also don’t forget to visit the National Fire Prevention Association to learn more.
